All places of interest for the New Zealand Delta outbreak on one interactive map

An interactive map of locations of interest in the current Delta outbreak, by Harkanwal Singh – The Spinoff’s inbound data manager. Now with a second map that shows when the location was added, and a searchable table with all locations.

We are devoting our energies to covering what matters as New Zealand responds to another Covid outbreak. You can support this work by joining members.

Update for users, August 23: We have moved the original map with all of the most recent locations of interest reported by the Department of Health further down the page, as the large number of locations makes it increasingly difficult to analyze. This means the first map you’ll see is the one that’s color coded to show when the location was added to the list. Remember that you can use the buttons at the top right to turn dates on and off.

Neither card includes bus rides; Auckland routes that are places of interest include 25B, 70, 95B, 95C, 97B and 926. Details here.

Both maps are updated as soon as possible after adding new locations.

Knowing where and when those infected with the delta have been while they were symptomatic gives those who may have come in contact with them the best chance to protect themselves and their community. If you have been to any of these locations during the relevant time, you should self-isolate and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453.

Places of interest, mapped, with the date they were added

Note: Repeat locations advertised over multiple days are displayed as added on the last day.
