According to Gizmodo’s previous report on Microsoft’s software update in September, the latest Chromium Edge browser introduces a huge set of new features, including the ability to use Google Stadia gaming apps.

Additionally, it is important to note that Microsoft Edge previously existed on Xbox One.

However, this time around, the latest browser version offered endless features that are essential for gamers.

Thanks to Chromium-based Edge, the user can now easily use the search engine, just in case they have any questions about the game tips.

The notable addition of access to Google Stadia will also benefit users who don’t want the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

In another article written by Technosports, Microsoft noted that the latest Edge browser is perfect for a revolutionary browsing experience for Xbox users.

Its appearance is quite similar to the desktop version the company released before. When it comes to their functionality, built-in sync, bookmarks, vertical tabs and more are also present in the updated Chromium Edge.

Xbox Edge browser supports multiple accessories

Interestingly, you can now integrate your keyboard and mouse with the latest Microsoft Edge. Besides accessing Google Stadia games, you can also use other apps like Excel, Word, etc.

The Chromium Edge doesn’t just support computer accessories. You can also use your Xbox controller for similar purposes.

For those who don’t have a Discord app, this voice chat app can be opened through the web version of Edge. Now you can start chatting with your friends and other people through multiple voices and text channels.

The only downside to the app’s Xbox Edge is the lack of mic support.

Currently, Nvidia still does not allow Edge to access GeForce Now game streaming.

When The Verge asked the GPU maker about it, it only said it was investigating Edge browser support in future updates.

Can old Microsoft laptops turn into Xbox?

Around February, Microsoft announced that it would close the Edge Legacy browser to pave the way for Edge Chromium. The Redmond giant said it will phase out the old browser to introduce more new versions and features in the Chromium version.

Along with the Legacy shutdown, some MS 365 apps were removed from the long-standing browser.

In June, the company successfully turned its new laptops into the Xbox Series X.

Thanks to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, users can now play games even while using an outdated laptop. The digital controls on the platform will represent the particular keys of the laptop.
