Xoran Announces New Patent for Modular CT System Assembly

More than 795,000 people suffer from stroke each year in the United States alone. When someone has an acute stroke, time is of the essence; however, it is extremely important to assess the type of stroke and the amount and location of potentially salvageable brain tissue to determine the appropriate treatment route and priority to achieve the best outcome for that individual.

Xoran Technologies has patented and prototyped a novel, highly compact cranial computed tomography device, which may in the future enable cerebral perfusion studies to be performed in a wider range of clinical settings, to serve more patients, quickly and at the POC after the onset of stroke symptoms.
